"It was when I stopped searching for home within others and lifted the foundations of home within myself I found there were no roots more intimate than those between a mind and body that have decided to be whole."    -rupi kaur

Has it been a while since you’ve felt like yourself? Does it seem like everyone else is moving forward while you’re stuck in place? Or maybe your life looks ideal from the outside, but inside you something feels off. You’ve been doing your best to act normal but it’s getting harder every day. You keep hoping that you’ll “snap out of it” but so far nothing has worked, and you’re starting to worry that you may never feel happy again. These experiences are more common than you may think, but that doesn't make them any less scary or difficult.

It is my honest belief that we all have the capacity for healing and growth. I use an integrated approach to support you wherever you find yourself on that journey. When life gets stressful, we tend to look for outside solutions to (or distractions from) our problems.  I help older children, teens and adults learn to trust their inner strength, uncover the abilities already existent within them, and harness those skills to change their situation. I apply a variety of modalities targeted to your needs to help you investigate how social expectations impact your mental health, rewrite the unhelpful stories you’ve learned about yourself, and reconnect to your body's inherent wisdom. We will work together to navigate the roadblocks and detours that will inevitably mark your path. As your therapist, my goal is to create a space where you can feel safe and brave, reflect on your personal experience, gain a better understanding of your whole self – mind, body, and spirit.

Therapy takes courage, commitment, and hard work. I have deep respect and admiration for your decision to seek out support. You deserve to live a fully authentic, empowered, and joyful life – to feel at home within yourself. It is my privilege to come alongside you in the process of discovering that version of yourself!

In my free time you can often find me enjoying the beautiful nature of Northern Michigan with my husband and our two dogs. I especially love to visit the beaches of Lake Michigan in any and every season. I am a puzzle enthusiast, animal lover, avid reader, amateur chef, and aspiring yogi. Gardening brings me comfort and I have an ever-growing collection of house plants. I am only competitive when it comes to cards and board games. I like traveling to new places, but I am a homebody at heart. I have always favored deep and meaningful conversations over small talk, and I find true fulfillment in my work as a therapist.
