Hello, my name is Madeline!
Do you sometimes wonder what it would feel like to move through life with a greater sense of ease, clarity, or choice?
Life experiences—especially overwhelming or stressful ones—can shape how we respond to the world around us. At times, this can leave people feeling disconnected from the present moment or unsure of how to move forward, even when they deeply want change. Many individuals notice their minds or bodies staying alert or guarded, not because something is wrong with them, but because their system learned to protect them.
My work as a therapist is centered on helping people gently reconnect with a sense of safety, presence, and self-trust. Therapy can support healing in both the mind and body, offering space to feel more grounded, supported, and empowered to make choices that align with your values and goals.
I believe healing is not about fixing anything—you are not broken. Rather, it is about creating the conditions where your nervous system can settle, your inner world can feel more supported, and your authentic self can emerge with greater clarity and confidence.
It has been a privilege to witness clients develop a stronger sense of agency, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and experience meaningful shifts in how they relate to themselves and others. While this work can sometimes feel challenging, it is also deeply rewarding, and you deserve compassion throughout the process.
Healing often extends beyond the individual. As people grow and feel more connected within themselves, the positive effects naturally ripple into their relationships, families, and communities.
As Thich Nhat Hanh beautifully said,
“Peace in the world starts with peace in oneself.”
A Little About Me
I live near Traverse City, Michigan, with my two children and partner. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors year-round and appreciate all that Northern Michigan has to offer.
I have practiced yoga for over a decade, and this practice has deeply informed my approach to being present and grounded in both my personal life and clinical work. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and value its effective support for healing.
Outside of work, I enjoy yoga classes, hiking, and reading. Much of what I read and listen to centers on psychology, self-care, and personal growth—these interests reflect both my professional passion and personal curiosity about human behavior and what helps people build meaningful lives.
If you’re interested in exploring what greater presence, clarity, and self-connection might look like for you, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
Madeline accepts BCBS, Priority Health, McLaren Commercial plans, Aetna, Forest County Potawatomi and Private Pay for services.
